Once upon a time, mythological stories were our only window into the places that exist beyond our perception and experience. These days we've got the Hubble Telescope and, as is often the case, reality is even stranger than fiction (or in this case stranger than myth). The images below provide me with more awe and wonder than any mythological tale of heaven or hell or nirvana. And being someone who leans towards a pantheist view, these images are to me, literally, photographs of "God."
